Sometimes I wonder how many of them know what they're asking for and have alterior motives (irrational bush hatred, desire to appear enlightened and progressive) and how many are just too deluded and knee-jerk to think about what they are saying. I'm guessing there is a bit of both, more so desire to look progressive and "politically active" among people with whom i'm acquainted who, if pressed, know next to nothing about the war.

Posted by: Julianne at March 14, 2003 10:20 AMReminds me of those guys who joined the protest marches with the fake signs. ("Other than Genocide, ___, ___, ___, War never solved anything." Forgot the exact wording. I guess most activists don't have the attention span to keep the entire sentence in mind.)
Posted by: Mauser at March 14, 2003 12:18 PMMauser: Genocide, Slavery, Fascism, Communism. Of the four, I don't think "Communism" belongs, because most Leftists would consider the dismantling of Communism to be a bad thing. (By the same token, maybe "Fascism" doesn't belong, either.)

Posted by: Sam at March 14, 2003 02:05 PMMaking fun of the status quo is very un-PC, man. There are alot of people that have way too much of everything and that is killing them and there is nothing they can do about it. Not to mention the offensive t-shirts that make fun of people making fun of the status quo. I don't know how you can create that kind of offensive trash and then call yourself a cartoonist, bah.
Posted by: eyba at March 14, 2003 07:43 PMHAHA! The one thing I love about political cartoons is that in one panel you can say what can take thousands of words to explain to the idiots, but when they see it very plainly in a picture, they can't deny.
Keep up the good work guys!

What on EARTH are you trying to say?
Way too much of everything that is killing them...yeah, I have way to many cigarettes, way too much cholesterol...way too much TIME.
For the love of God (metaphor!) please SPECIFY your nouns!
Posted by: Julianne at March 15, 2003 12:53 PMExcellent work, as usual!
Thank you for brightening my day once again.
Posted by: Eichra Oren at March 15, 2003 10:41 PMYep, this definately gets e-mailed to the next friend of mine who tries to lay a guilt trip on me for being pro-war.
Posted by: Korgmeister at March 16, 2003 04:24 AMeyba....
I wanted to let you know I got your sharp sarcasm....made me laugh, in fact.
Note: Sarcastic remarks on the site are welcome but rest assured the chances of being misunderstood are huge....sarcasm needs tone of voice and facial clues... both of which are impossible here. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE...making a clear point is more fun, isn't it?
"all we are brayyyyyy-innnnnnnng, is give a-peace-ment a-nother chaaaaaance!"
