There's just one little problem with this...Common sense (which Americans have in abundance compared to our European counterparts) dictates that one should NEVER cut towards the body with knife. So, this particular perspective makes Uncle Sam look like he's about to endanger his (much larger than the European) nuggets.

Deb ... Yeah, that's caught the attention of more than one person, including John and I when we created it. For what it's worth, the problem was that the sword had the clear the top of the "u" so that it didn't make a visually connection and create the letter "o." We thought what you see now was a satisfactory compromise, but enough people have noticed the direction of the sword that we probably ended up with a worse distraction. Suffice to say, we're now more careful when wielding swords. :-)

Uhh, both edges of the sword are sharp. (it appears to me to be a broadsword, not a saber, which has one sharp edge)
